     What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and facilitates healing. The term "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: "Rei," meaning "universal," and "Ki," meaning "life energy." Therefore, Reiki can be understood as "universal life force energy." This practice involves channelling this energy through the hands of a practitioner to the recipient to enhance the body’s natural healing processes and restore physical and emotional well-being.

    How Does Reiki Work?

Reiki operates on the principle that life force energy flows through all living beings. When this energy is low or blocked, it can lead to illness, stress, and emotional imbalance. By channelling this energy, Reiki practitioners aim to remove blockages and restore the natural flow of life force energy.

Here's how Reiki works:

  1. Energy Channeling: During a Reiki session, the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the recipient's body. This allows the universal life energy to flow through the practitioner’s hands into the recipient’s energy field.

  2. Scalar Energy: Some Reiki practitioners also incorporate the concept of scalar energy, a form of subtle energy that exists in the vacuum of space. Scalar energy is believed to have healing properties and the ability to enhance the effectiveness of Reiki by providing a deeper level of energy balance and healing.

  3. Balancing Chakras: Reiki helps balance the body’s chakras, or energy centers, which can become misaligned due to stress, trauma, or illness. By restoring harmony to these energy centers, Reiki promotes overall well-being.

  4. Intuitive Healing: While traditional Usui Reiki, founded by Dr. Mikao Usui, provides a structured approach to energy healing, many practitioners, including myself, feel drawn to use Reiki intuitively. This means tuning into the unique needs of each individual and allowing the energy to guide the healing process in a more personalized manner.

    My Reiki Practice

While I have studied and am certified in Usui Reiki, I have always felt a strong inclination to use Reiki intuitively. This intuitive approach allows me to connect more deeply with the energy needs of each individual, providing a more personalized and effective healing experience. By combining the traditional Usui techniques with my intuitive insights and the principles of scalar energy, I strive to offer a holistic and profound healing journey for my clients.
